1985 Dodge Ramcharger LE Royale   slightly modified... haha

ENGINE 360 w/ edelbrock performer cam and intake, holley 650 dbl pumper (all the anti-slosh goodies), hooker headers, stock cylinder heads with a little cleanup work and gasket matching, 5" summit racing air filter element with stainless steel mud shield suspended from the hood
Mopar perf. ignition system, good wires, and champion plugs
2 1/4" exhaust with large dynomax mufflers... nice 'n' quiet
Upgraded radiator out of big block ton series dodge Napa Part # (dadada - I'll find it somewhere)
Hi-output altenator from a Dodge ambulance
All battery cables (starter, ground, dual battery xovers etc.) upgraded to thumb size cable 5" high summit air cleaner w/ moroso foam pre-filter (what a $$$ saver this guy is!)
TRANNY 4spd w/granny low - wore in just right... in low range with a slow idle you can glide the tranny into granny low or reverse without even touching the clutch! Like shuttle shifting an old tractor...
XFER-CASE NP208 with enlarged seals front/rear to allow for the enlarged diameter of the 1410 series ouput yokes. Otherwise basically stock... holding up quite well. SUPER easy to shift into and out of 4wd etc.
AXLES D60 front end out of a 1-1/4 ton chebby military cutvee truck (the cammo 3/4 long bed diesel chevys they run all over the place...) Want to upgrade this guy to 35 spline outter shafts someday.
D70 rear out of 89 1 ton dodge chassis cab... nice and wide, matches the track width of the front axle
Both with lockrights
Extended diff and xfer case vents into the body
DRIVESHAFTS Built these out of ton series dodge truck drive shafts... 1410 series yokes/ends all around... ...too short and steep to worry about balancing... haha
Still no vibration out of the rear one at 80mph... wouldn't dare think about spinning the front one beyond about 30mph though... 8-)
CHASSIS 1 ton brake booster and master cylinder (big help on the whoa power!!!)
Moved steering box to the frame rail and mounted it like a 2wd application. Fabbed up a custom steering arm out of 1" thick plate steel
for the passenger side knuckle on the D60 and converted over to cross-over steering. BIG IMPROVEMENT on driveablility!
Braced the steering box with steel tubing back over to the front and motor crossmembers etc.
Two school bus size hooks on the rear frame rails. Eventually want to build a small rear bumper with integrated winch caddy receivers but make the bumper small enough it doesn't kill clearance etc...
BODY Lets just say "Body by Mr. Plasma cutter" 8-) ...and paint you say? As often as I wash it, most people think it's just brown... 8-)
BUMPER Front bumper fabbed from 4" and 8" C channel. A coupla' big hooks and winch caddy mount. Beyond mounting to the factory location on the ends of the frame rails (additional bolts added) it has two runners in the center that extend back to the first horizontal x-member as well.
LIFT 8" dodge skyjacker softride front lift springs
6" dodge skyjacker softride rear lift springs - 5" high by 6" long by 2.5" wide solid steel lift block machined out of 2 1/2" thick plate steel w/ integrated traction bar mounts
Traction bars run up to the front spring hanger that has been heavily reinforced to keep the traction bar from collapsing/tearing apart the factory spring hanger
5/8" U bolts holding them axles to the springs... Ultra tough... never back off, bend, or even think about breaking...
TIRES/WHEELS 39.5x15 R16.5 Super swampers on 10" wide wagon wheels (would love to have 16.5 beadlocks!) Would like to swap for 39.5 boggers on the rear someday.
Waiting for 16" versions so I can run beadlocks.
Balanced them by heating up 1" sections of rebar and curving them to the inside profile of the wheel, cutting them to length for the proper weight, and tack welding them inside the tire to the wheel. Works like a charm!!! It's hard to fit 28 oz. of weight on the outside and keep from slinging it off. Tires have siping grooves in them to aid in wet and icy conditions... seems to help a bit in the mud too... ...honestly I haven't had a chance to try 'em out in the snow or ice yet either...
MISC Dual battery setup up front and additional aux battery in the rear
Pair of 20' long HD jumper cables that plug into the front/rear power plugs to help out the Chebbys and Fiords... 8-)
GEAR As much junk as humanly possible to haul around... Never know what u might need...
